The association of over 500 technology firms in the German state of Saxony, Silicon Saxony, has taken a clear stance against a surge of far-right politics in its region.

Its president Dirk Röhrborn made an appearance at a demonstration in Dresden and called for an open, welcoming culture, stating that

“people who want to live and work here need to feel confident that they are really welcome [in Saxony] regardless of where they are from”
