In response to Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine since February 2022, many companies are drawing consequences. In order to comply with the imposed sanctions against Russia, companies are closing their production facilities, stopping or interrupting exports and terminating their business relations with joint ventures. The British energy company BP is divesting its stake of almost 20 percent in the Russian oil company Rosneft.
