A number of companies have implemented formats that allow their employees to have a say in their company’s stance on the issues of the day. The Dutch bank Rabobank includes young employees on its Global Ethics Committee which deliberates ethical challenges such as whether to invest in the Chinese province of Xinjang, where the local Uyghur minority has suffered repression. Other examples of participatory decision making includes the software company Salesforce and the manufacturer of pharmaceuticals Novartis.
