A group of companies including the technology firm IBM and the tire maker Pirelli have pledged to abide by the Erb Principles for Corporate Political Responsibility. The principles, developed by the CPR Taskforce at the University of Michigan's Erb Institute, exhort corporations to take legitimacy, accountability, responsibility, and transparency as the guiding values of their polticial activities.
