Since 2018, the German grocery chain EDEKA has partnered with the foundation nebenan.de (‘nextdoor.de’) to establish and foster neighborhood and community engagement. The company drew particular attention to the need for neighborly solidarity in a statement ahead of the annual neighbor day 2024.
