The German drug store chain dm rewards its employees for volunteering at polling stations for the 2024 European elections by counting the hours spent volunteering as work hours. 

According to dm's CEO Christoph Werner the company wants "above all to make aware the many thousands of [its] young employees that they can not only cast their vote, but that they can  actively shape their own future and that of Europe, too, with their personal commitment".
